Why we need to give humor a chance?

‘Belinda smiled, and all the world was gay.’ Though it is an example of a poetic exaggeration used by Alexander Pope in the mock epic, ‘The Rape of the Lock’, it has some truth in it. Without humor, our life is dull and dark. So, why not give humor a chance and let the world around us shine bright with smiles?

Man is the only creation that can laugh. It is a special gift from Almighty for human beings. Humor is the expression of pleased and tranquil souls. In a critical moment, a smile can act as a lightning in darkness.

There is a proverb, ‘A man who does not smile should not run a business.’ Those who are in the command in an organization should use humor to lighten up the environment. A teacher should mix up elements of humor in his lessons. Students learn more when they enjoy the class. Similarly, those who deliver speeches on the stage can easily create rapports with the audience if his speech contains comic elements.

I heard many people say, ‘Half of my problems were gone by the words of the doctors.’ Even doctors advise patients with blood pressure history to maintain a humorous disposition.

Modern life is very complicated. We suffer from social and psychological pressure. Humor can help us bring tranquility in our mind. A man with a sense of humor can make a place joyous and pleasant. Unity among the members of family can be strengthened if they use humor in communicating with each other.

Making fun with witty remarks in social networking sites and blogs has brought a new dimension in our life. Let us forget our pangs and sorrows; let us give humor a chance to make the world shiny with fun and joy.
