- by ummukhairfatamah

Hazrat Muhammad (Sm) was the Prophet of Islam. He was born at Makkah in the Quraish family in 570 A.D. His mother Amena also died in his childhood. He was brought up by a wet-nurse, Halima by name. His grandfather and uncle were very kind to him and took care of him. From the very childhood Muhammad (Sm) was very thoughtful, truthful and honest. So he was very much respected by the people. At the age of twenty-five he married Khadija who was then forty. But he had no attraction for the worldly life and its enjoyments. He began to meditate upon the higher problems of life and death in the cave of Mount Hera alone. At last revelation came to him at the age of forty and he preached, "There is no God except Allah." Khadija was the fast to accept his new creed. The Makkahns were very angry with him. He suffered a great deal in there hands for his faith. They also tried to kill him. So he went to Madinah in 622 A.D. in the dark of night. It is known as Hizrat.
