Are WWE matches real or staged up?

WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment, previously WWF aka World Wrestling Federation) has been a huge part of people’ entertainment for decades. Millions of adults and kids enjoy watching WWE matches. But most of them can’t help but wonder if it is real or staged up like most reality shows on television. So, is WWE real or fake? Are WWE matches staged up? Or do WWE wrestlers fight their opponents with real intention for winning or losing?

Is WWE real or fake

I will tell you the truth. Actually, it is a bit of both; it is real as well as fake. The story lines and rivalries that we see are all scripted and they are there just to attract viewers. Wouldn’t the show be pretty bland if they fought without any animosity? I would say only about 40% of professional-wrestling is real. Why? It is because even though the story lines are scripted, it is still a dangerous game as the injuries do take place. Even though the wrestlers practice the moves, but the risk of incurring injury while committing those moves is always there. A question often asked about the authenticity of such wrestling matches is: If it is staged up, then why do they get hurt in all those extreme matches involving ladders, chairs, tables and other stuffs?

The answer goes both way again. It is true that falling of ladders and falling on tables have certain risk associated, but they all are trained professionals and are taught to minimize the damage of impact. For instance, the chair shots to the head, well the chairs they use to hit are made up of soft plastic material; while the sound we hear is produced using hidden microphones. Even though the sledge hammer have metal part, but it is covered by the hand before striking the rival. This proves that the wrestlers avoid hurting each other with malicious intent. Injuries are unwanted but if it takes place they add something new to the story line to make up for that.

Conclusion

WWE does have some real moves but those are done in safe environments. It has some scripted story lines to make the viewer more interested in watch men/women fight each other. Same applies to TNA.
